What do you fish for?

Fishing in Lake Michigan consists of the mighty King Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead, Coho Salmon and Brown Trout.

 

What time of the year do you fish?

Fishing runs from May to early October.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit cards, PayPal and Venmo.

What do I need to bring on board?

Please bring sunglasses, soft sole shoes, sun screen, a jacket, and a cooler to take home your catch! When we return your fish will be cleaned. Alcoholic beverages are permitted on the trip.

Will I need a fishing license?

Yes. If you are 17 years of age or older you need a fishing license to fish in the state of Michigan. However, anyone under the age of 17 can fish without a license. A license can be purchased via the internet by visiting the Michigan Department of Natural Resources website or clicking here.

 

Are there bathrooms on the Leelanaut and Leelanautical?

Yes, there are bathrooms similar to what you would see on an airplane.

Where do these fishing charters depart from?

The LEELANAUT departs from Leland Harbor in Fishtown, Suttons Bay Village launch ramp in Suttons Bay, and  Elmwood Township Marina and Park in Traverse City.
The LEELANAUTICAL departs from Elmwood Township Marina and Park in Traverse City.

Do I need to bring fishing equipment or bait?

No, we supply all of the fishing gear & bait you will need on our Lake Michigan fishing charters!
